Tutta's BlogRandom Thoughts by Your Favorite Pizza Slingers
In addition to bringing you the best food and drink Dallas has to offer, we want to bring you the best talent Dallas has to offer!
Throughout the month, you will be able to catch local and regional music acts, as well as comedians, on the Tutta’s stage. In addition to live talent, we’re showcasing local visual artists. Those bare walls are finally gone thanks to Hilda LaFleur! On Tuesday, Hilda came in and brought us several pieces from her collection to showcase. These pieces are available to purchase as well, so just let us know if you are interested!
A little about Hilda… Hilda LaFleur is a local artist with a 30 year teaching tenure under her belt. With a unique concoction of oils and acrylics, she brings bright colors to live and creativity to the canvas. Taking inspiration from the places she’s been, the people she’s met, translating these live experiences on Masonite has been a fulfilling realization. While experimenting with her craft, she has found a new and exciting technique that makes the colors vivacious and images pop!
Come into Tutta’s to experience Hilda’s work in person and check her out online to see her entire collection!

At Tutta’s, we want everything we serve you to be as fresh, and as local, as possible! This is why we bake our own bread every morning, all of our sauces are made from scratch, the meat we smoke comes from Texas farms, and the beer we pour comes from your favorite local craft brewery. So when it came time to find ice cream, we checked out the best Dallas has to offer. After lots of sampling (the fun part of running a restaurant), we found our perfect match! Please welcome Tutta’s newest partner, Sweet Firefly from Richardson!
Started in 2011 by Angie Conard and Patti Otte, Sweet Firefly is a gourmet ice cream and sweets shop, located in Richardson’s Canyon Creek neighborhood. Their mission is to spread joy by offering simple goodness and a welcoming environment for their guests. Sounds familiar, right? It’s a match made in Heaven and once you come in and try their ice cream, you’ll understand what we’re raving about!
Tutta’s will offer a limited selection, including cinnamon (can you say Apple Pie Stromboli a la mode?), pure vanilla and chocolate. We’ll rotate in other flavors to compliment our awesome desserts, and you can always get the full Sweet Firefly experience by stopping by their shop. So come in, order some ice cream, and take part in the joy!

The 5th Annual Dallas Observer Brewfest is coming Saturday, September 12th! If you’ve been hiding out in your bug out room and don’t know what Brewfest is, it’s a HUGE outdoor beer sampling event with food and live music. If that’s not enough to motivate you to forget about the zombie apocalypse and join the living, maybe free pizza and beer is?
Tutta’s will be out serving up FREE samples of your favorite gourmet pizza AND we just so happen to have four free tickets to giveaway! In case you didn’t know, you get 12 two ounce beer samples with your ticket…so free pizza, free beer…what more do you need?
If you want to win one of these coveted tickets, come out to the Truck Yard on Sunday, September 6th where we’ll be serving up brunch, lunch, dinner, and all snacks in between. Take a pic with your pizza or the Beast, post it to the social media site of your choice, and tag Tutta’s. (Hashtags get extra cool points, and may we suggest #TuttasPizza and #BrewFestDAL?) We’ll pick two winners and send you two tickets each via email on Monday. Happy Labor Day to you!
